Introducing Here and Now in Nature: A Mindful Walking Group

Greetings and happy fall! 🍁🍂

As many of you know, I’ve been expanding my ecotherapy offerings recently to include group Wellness in Nature programs. One of my intentions is to make these kinds of events even more accessible to folks who are interested in experiencing the healing benefits of nature. In that spirit, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be offering a monthly mindful walking group in Philadelphia’s Wissahickon Valley Park. See description below. Here and Now in Nature

Join certified nature-informed therapist Anna Murphey, LCSW for a one-hour mindful walk in Wissahickon Valley Park. We’ll open with a grounding meditation, hike for about 40 minutes, and close with a group reflection and sharing. Let’s connect with nature and each other! Suggested donation $15. 

Benefits of mindful walking:

  • Slow down, relax, and be present

  • Nurture your mind, body, and spirit

  • Connect with the beauty of nature  

  • Build community

Who: Open to adults 18+ who can engage in moderate walking/hiking on unpaved/wooded trails. No pets, please (service animals welcome). 

Where: Meet at Blue Bell Park, 842 W Walnut Ln, Philadelphia, PA 19144. Free parking and facilities on-site. 

When: Saturdays from 10-11 am.

Upcoming dates: 11/22/25, 12/20/25, 1/24/26, 2/21/26

🥾 Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots and dress in layers for comfort based on weather. Bring water and a snack.
